Alkami and Arkatechture have partnered to integrate Alkami's transaction data tools with Arkatechture's Arkalytics platform. Armstrong Bank is already live on the integration.

The partnership targets banks and credit unions that want to make better use of transaction data but face delays because records often arrive uncategorised and must be cleaned manually before analysis.

Under the arrangement, transaction data from Arkalytics is sent to Alkami's Data & Marketing Solution, where it is cleansed, categorised and enriched using a database of more than 65,000 catalogued merchants. It is then returned to Arkalytics for analysis alongside demographic, product and balance information held by the institution.

The combined system is designed to give financial institutions a clearer view of account holder behaviour, including competitive bill pay activity, financial health and share of wallet. Those insights can inform marketing, product strategy, technology spending and growth planning.

Alkami cited its own research showing that "Data-First" financial institutions recorded up to five times higher year-on-year annual average revenue growth than less digitally mature peers. The finding underscores the commercial pressure on banks and credit unions to make better use of internal data as digital competition increases.

One of the main selling points is that the integration avoids the need for a bespoke link between data platforms. For institutions that already use both systems, that could reduce the manual work involved in preparing transaction records for reporting and segmentation.

Armstrong Bank is the first named institution using the integration. The bank views data as central to assessing customer needs and identifying commercial opportunities.

"At Armstrong Bank, we view data as a strategic asset that helps us better understand our customers, identify opportunities, and make smarter decisions across the organization," said Nick Jones, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Armstrong Bank.

"By bringing Alkami's enriched transaction intelligence into Arkatechture's analytics platform, we can give our teams a clearer view of customer needs, payment behaviors, and relationship opportunities - helping us turn information into action faster."

Data pressure

Banks and credit unions have invested heavily in digital channels in recent years, but many still struggle to organise the information those systems generate. Transaction feeds can be inconsistent, merchant names may appear in multiple formats, and analysis often begins only after data teams standardise records by hand.

That matters because transaction data can reveal where customers hold outside relationships, how they pay bills and whether they may be candidates for additional products. It can also help institutions track changes in account holder financial behaviour more quickly than traditional reporting based mainly on balances and account holdings.

For Arkatechture, whose Arkalytics product is used by credit unions and community banks, the partnership broadens the information available within its analytics environment. Its platform is designed to bring together data from more than 100 systems into a governed structure for dashboards, predictive models and other analysis.

Christina Miller, Vice President of Channel and Partner Growth at Alkami, described the partnership as part of a broader push to make data easier to use across an institution.

"Financial institutions are under increasing pressure to use data to drive measurable impact, but that requires trusted, accurate and accessible insights across the enterprise," said Christina Miller, Vice President of Channel and Partner Growth at Alkami.

"This partnership with Arkatechture reflects Alkami's commitment to being an open and connected software provider that makes it easier for banks and credit unions to work with the partners they trust."

Analytics link

The deal also reflects a broader trend in banking technology, with software groups seeking tighter integrations rather than asking customers to stitch products together themselves. Community banks and credit unions, in particular, often lack the internal engineering resources needed to build and maintain custom data pipelines across multiple vendors.

By combining transaction enrichment with an analytics layer, the two companies are targeting institutions that want a faster route from raw payments data to operational decisions. Practical uses include more precise audience segmentation, stronger reporting and a fuller picture of customer relationships beyond a single account or product.

Jamie Jackson, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Arkatechture, said the aim was to connect centralised data with more useful transaction insight.

"Arkalytics gives financial institutions the foundation to centralize, visualize, and act on their information, while Alkami's Data & Marketing Solution brings the transaction intelligence that makes those insights more meaningful," said Jamie Jackson, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Arkatechture.

"By bringing these capabilities together, we are helping banks and credit unions deploy a modern analytics stack that supports confident decision-making every day."
