AutoRek wins FTF News Best Reconciliation Solution

Fri, 5th Jun 2026 (Today)

AutoRek has won the Best Reconciliation Solution award at the FTF News Technology Innovation Awards 2026, following an open vote by industry peers, clients, and partners.

The recognition highlights the company's reconciliation software and follows the launch of AutoRek ARIA, an AI agent built into its platform. Designed to sit within reconciliation workflows, the tool helps teams manage growing volumes of financial data and increasingly complex operations.

Now in their 15th year, the FTF News Technology Innovation Awards focus on technology suppliers serving securities operations. AutoRek was selected in the Best Reconciliation Solution category.

Financial institutions use reconciliation software to compare records across systems, identify breaks, and resolve mismatches. Demand for these tools has grown as asset managers, investment banks, and brokers handle larger datasets and face tighter control requirements.

AutoRek introduced ARIA to help users resolve exceptions more quickly, improve matching accuracy, and support decision-making during the reconciliation process. The company has operated in the sector for more than 30 years and works with firms across asset management, banking, insurance, and payments.

The business also cited research showing that 79 per cent of asset management and capital markets firms struggle to keep pace with current data volumes. The finding points to a broader operational challenge for firms trying to expand processing capacity while maintaining oversight of financial controls.

AutoRek's customer base includes asset management clients with more than USD $6.5 trillion in assets under management, insurance clients with more than USD $1.3 billion in gross written premium, and payments clients processing more than USD $4 trillion in annual transactions. Users have also reported more than a 50 per cent reduction in operational costs and more than 90 per cent less time spent on reconciliations.

The award comes amid heightened interest in the use of AI in back-office financial operations. Across capital markets, firms are exploring how software can reduce manual intervention in exception handling and matching tasks while maintaining auditability, control, and reliability.

Chris Livesey, Chief Executive Officer of AutoRek, linked the company's latest product development to those pressures on operations teams.

"AutoRek has been leading this space for more than 30 years, and the problems firms face today around data volumes, operational complexity and the pressure to do more with less are bigger than ever," said Chris Livesey, Chief Executive Officer of AutoRek.

"With AutoRek ARIA offering a trusted control layer for next-generation financial operations, we enable firms to safely operate with more speed, accuracy, and intelligence. Winning this award matters because it's recognition that the approach we've taken, combining innovative technology with deep domain experience in complex reconciliations, is the right one."

Maureen Lowe, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of FTF News, also commented on the result.

"There's no denying this industry is hard. It's competitive. It can be unforgiving. Nothing is ever given. Everything is earned through a lot of hard work, perseverance, and dedication. Which is why being voted the best service or solution by the very industry you serve is so incredibly rewarding," said Maureen Lowe, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of FTF News.
