Crypto.com expands Solidus Labs tie-up in US markets

Crypto.com has expanded its partnership with Solidus Labs to support its US prediction markets business. The agreement extends Solidus Labs' surveillance remit to prediction markets and tokenised securities.
Under the arrangement, Crypto.com will use Solidus Labs' HALO platform to monitor trading activity across those products. The system will oversee trading in prediction markets, tokenised securities and digital assets as Crypto.com broadens its regulated US product range.
The move builds on the companies' existing relationship in digital asset market surveillance. It comes as Crypto.com increases its focus on prediction markets, including through OG Prediction Markets, while also expanding into tokenised securities.
Prediction markets are facing closer scrutiny as exchanges and trading venues test products linked to political, economic, cultural and other event outcomes. Operators face questions about market abuse, insider dealing and manipulation, particularly where information flows beyond conventional market data can influence contracts.
Solidus Labs said its HALO platform combines analysis of user behaviour, social sentiment and open-source intelligence with traditional trade and order-flow surveillance. It correlates on-chain and off-chain data in real time to identify suspicious activity.
Crypto.com's North American derivatives business includes a designated contract market and a derivatives clearing organisation registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. The group also operates a Futures Commission Merchant that connects introducing brokers to the prediction markets ecosystem.
OG Prediction Markets and Crypto.com | Derivatives North America offer contracts across categories including cryptocurrency, financials, companies, economics, climate and culture. Those products are available through direct access as well as intermediaries such as introducing brokers and Futures Commission Merchants.
Compliance focus
The expansion highlights the growing compliance burden for trading venues as they add more product types under regulated frameworks. Market surveillance systems initially built for spot crypto trading are now being adapted for event-based contracts and tokenised instruments, where trading patterns and information risks can differ sharply.
Antonio Alvarez Lorenzo, Chief Compliance Officer at Crypto.com, linked the decision to the group's broader regulatory strategy.
"As Crypto.com continues to build out a fully regulated, multi-product platform, our commitment to leading on compliance - and securing the trust of our users and regulators - only grows stronger," said Antonio Alvarez Lorenzo, Chief Compliance Officer at Crypto.com. "Solidus Labs has established itself as the gold standard for market integrity in prediction markets, so extending our partnership was a natural step."
For Solidus Labs, the agreement supports its effort to position itself as a surveillance provider for markets at the intersection of crypto infrastructure and regulated financial products. The company, founded by former Goldman Sachs executives, has focused on compliance tools for digital assets and adjacent markets.
The company argues that prediction markets require broader oversight than many traditional venues because pricing can be shaped as much by online narratives, public messaging and event-specific information as by order-book behaviour. That has prompted some exchanges to seek tools that combine market data with wider intelligence signals.
Broader market
The partnership also reflects a wider trend in the crypto sector, as companies that once focused on retail trading seek to build more diversified, regulated businesses. In the US, that push has increasingly involved derivatives, event contracts and tokenised versions of financial instruments, all of which bring more demanding surveillance and reporting requirements.
Solidus Labs said prediction markets represent a significant commercial opportunity, but one that depends on confidence in market conduct.
"Prediction markets represent a trillion-dollar asset class opportunity, and Solidus Labs is where the industry turns to protect it - because when it comes to prediction markets, there are no bets on market integrity," said Asaf Meir, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Solidus Labs. "That's exactly the standard Crypto.com holds itself to, and we're proud to be the partner that backs it up."
