EDGE Markets has partnered with ProphetX to add real-time account funding to the sports exchange, extending EDGE Connect to another prediction market platform.

Under the agreement, eligible ProphetX users can move funds into their exchange accounts around the clock through EDGE Connect, EDGE Markets' closed-loop settlement network. Daily deposit limits can reach USD $1 million for eligible users, and ProphetX participants will not pay deposit fees.

ProphetX is the latest exchange to adopt the funding system, following earlier tie-ups with Kalshi and Polymarket. The deal further expands EDGE Markets' push into prediction and event-driven trading venues.

Traditional funding methods often come with lower transfer limits, cut-off times, and processing delays, particularly outside standard banking hours. That can create problems for traders seeking to add capital during evenings, weekends, and live market activity.

The integration also gives eligible users access to EDGE Boost deposit accounts, intended to separate trading balances from day-to-day finances. The companies describe those accounts as FDIC-insured, while payment flows run on FedNow rails for near real-time settlement.

Trading access

The deal reflects a broader effort by financial infrastructure providers to support trading in markets that operate beyond conventional banking hours. Prediction markets and sports-related exchanges can see demand for rapid funding when banks are closed, making instant payment systems more relevant to active users.

EDGE Markets said it has processed more than USD $2 billion in transactions since the launch of EDGE Boost. It also recently raised USD $29 million in a Series A funding round led by CoinFund, with participation from Indicator Ventures, Mantis VC, Stepstone Group, and Bullpen Capital.

That capital is being used to expand the group's banking products for institutional and consumer customers in prediction markets. The ProphetX partnership adds another outlet for those products in a niche attracting growing investor interest.

"The most active traders are no different from sophisticated participants in any other vertical: they need fast, reliable access to their capital on their schedule, not the bank's," said Seni Thomas, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, EDGE Markets.

"Reaching the traders who are already moving serious capital on prediction markets is how EDGE Boost becomes the default financial platform for this space, and ProphetX gets us there," Thomas said.

Market focus

ProphetX describes itself as a federally regulated sports-native exchange in the United States. Founded in 2018, it focuses on event-driven contracts initially built around sports markets.

The tie-up gives ProphetX a funding option for users who want to move larger sums without waiting for bank processing windows. Eligible customers can transfer money at any time of day throughout the year.

EDGE Markets has also linked EDGE Boost to responsible trading features. In a pilot programme, a cashback rewards model tied to responsible trading tools recorded a 97% opt-in rate among users, while spending limits and incentives were designed to help customers manage their finances.

For ProphetX, the arrangement adds another layer of financial infrastructure as sports and prediction market exchanges seek to make funding more immediate and less dependent on legacy payment channels. The partnership suggests that access to instant transfers and higher deposit thresholds is becoming a competitive issue for platforms targeting active traders.

"As the first federally regulated sports-native exchange, ProphetX is committed to building every layer of this ecosystem to the highest standard. EDGE Markets brings the same philosophy to the financial rails. FDIC-insured deposit accounts, real-time fund movement, and higher funding limits, all things critical infrastructure for our active traders as this market matures,," said Dean Sisun, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of ProphetX.
