LoanPro is expanding its Salt Flats Summit to 500 lending and credit executives for its third edition. The invite-only event previously sold out with 200 in-person attendees.

The summit will be held at two Utah venues, with opening and closing sessions at the Olympic Oval in Salt Lake City and a full day of programming at the Bonneville Salt Flats. It is aimed at senior leaders from banks, credit unions and fintech lenders.

The event has become a branded meeting point for lending and credit executives, positioned apart from the conventional conference format of exhibition halls and hotel ballrooms. This year's programme includes sessions on the direction of North American credit markets, artificial intelligence infrastructure in live environments, payments and origination systems, fraud risks and regulatory preparation.

Scheduled speakers include executives from Mastercard, Stripe, AWS, Moov and Jack Henry, alongside LoanPro Chief Executive Officer Rhett Roberts. Other speakers include Olympic speed skater Derek Parra, 2034 Winter Olympic Chief Executive Officer Brad Wilson and Jefferson Moss of Utah's economic development office.

Venue split

The opening evening will feature a reception at the Olympic Oval, the speed skating venue built for the 2002 Winter Games. Roberts is set to appear on stage with Parra and Wilson for a discussion focused on competition and performance in elite sport.

The second day shifts to the Bonneville Salt Flats, a 30,000-acre salt desert long associated with land speed records. LoanPro will host daytime sessions there, followed by activities on the flats, a dinner, customer awards and a performance by the band LifeHouse.

The final day returns to a breakout format with three concurrent tracks. Topics will include payment rail strategy, AI-driven fraud threats and the requirements lenders should have in place before a regulatory examination.

Growth push

The increase in attendance marks a significant step up for an event that began in 2024. LoanPro launched the summit as an alternative to the established fintech conference circuit, using a smaller, invitation-led format aimed at founders, Chief Technology Officers and product leaders.

No vendor booths are planned, and the programme is intended to encourage more direct interaction among attendees. The approach reflects a broader trend in financial technology events, where smaller curated gatherings have become more common as firms seek access to decision-makers rather than large exhibition audiences.

Partners supporting the summit include Mastercard, Cross River Bank, Bloom Credit, Moov, AllCloud, Stripe, Gestalt, Socure, NxtMoves, Visa DPS, GDS Link, Praxent, Walnut, Footprint, CheckAlt, Bankruptcy Watch, iLex, TAB Bank, Luby, Repay and CRS Credit.

LoanPro provides lending and credit software used by more than 600 lenders, according to the company. Its customer base spans institutions looking to update systems for origination, servicing, payments and collections.

The event also highlights Utah's prominence as a base for financial technology and related services. By splitting the programme between Salt Lake City and the Bonneville Salt Flats, LoanPro is tying the summit closely to the state's identity rather than using a standard convention venue.

That setting is central to LoanPro's pitch to executives. The company is using the summit both as an industry gathering and as a showcase for its relationships across the lending, payments and cloud infrastructure sectors.

Roberts said the event stands apart from traditional industry conferences.

"We have had excellent feedback that this unique event is truly unlike any other. We have created the ideal conditions for people to show up as their genuine selves. The content is superb, conversations are higher quality, authentic relationships are built, and more deals get done here than at any other conference in the industry," said Rhett Roberts, Chief Executive Officer of LoanPro.
