LoanPro has launched new products spanning payments, card-based loan disbursement and AI-assisted loan servicing. The rollout includes a new Model Context Protocol that applies existing lender controls to AI agent activity.

The Utah-based lending software provider is bringing payment processing, virtual card disbursement and AI tools into its existing platform. The new offerings include LoanPro DirectPay, Beyond Credit, AI Account Briefing, ongoing compliance monitoring, LoanPro Connect and support for secured cards.

At the centre of the AI announcement is LoanPro MCP, which connects AI agents and models to the company's system while routing requests through the same role-based access controls and compliance guardrails used for human servicing staff. Each action is logged in the audit trail under the relevant human user's name.

Phase one of the protocol is already live. It currently supports pulling account context and history, processing payments, setting up autopay and recording promises to pay.

LoanPro also introduced AI Account Briefing as part of what it calls the LoanPro Intelligence Suite. The tool gives servicing agents a plain-language summary of each account, including health indicators, recent activity and suggested next steps based on how that lender has handled similar cases.

According to LoanPro, a survey of lenders on its platform found that agents spent an average of 20% of each servicing call searching for information. In the company's testing, that share fell to between 10% and 15% of a call, and in some cases to 5%.

LoanPro said the models behind Account Briefing are post-trained by the company and deployed within each customer's own AWS environment. That keeps borrower data within the lender's existing cloud perimeter rather than moving it into a shared environment.

The AI products are accompanied by a broader compliance push. Ongoing monitoring now includes scheduled automated checks for the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, Military Lending Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control, Death Master File and consumer bankruptcy status, with lenders able to choose how often those checks run.

Payments push

Alongside the AI tools, LoanPro has renamed its payment suite LoanPro Payments and introduced LoanPro DirectPay, an in-house payment processing product integrated across its platform. Because the company holds both loan and processing data in the same system, transactions can be reconciled automatically rather than through manual report matching.

According to LoanPro, servicing staff can trace a payment step by step during a borrower call, see why it failed, and manage disputes or refunds in the same system. New customers can onboard through an automated process and, once approved, begin accepting payments in about 20 minutes.

LoanPro said it handles about $4 billion a month in loan repayments and disbursements across its customer base. It also announced two additions to its payments partner network: Moov, the first payment processor available for direct purchase through LoanPro, and CheckAlt, which is adding lockbox processing.

Card disbursement

Another launch is Beyond Credit, a virtual Mastercard that acts as an access device for an instalment loan. LoanPro said the product lets lenders send funds to a borrower's Apple Pay or Google Pay wallet in real time, including outside normal ACH operating hours.

The card does not revolve and carries no fees or interest; those terms remain on the underlying loan in LoanPro's system. Lenders can also set restrictions by merchant name, merchant ID, location or merchant category code, and receive merchant-level spending data.

LoanPro serves as programme manager for the product, handling customer service, disputes and chargebacks while managing fraud mitigation with Mastercard and its issuing processor. Beyond Credit is currently onboarding instalment lenders.

Broader platform changes

Other additions include Risk Radar, a machine learning model trained on a lender's own portfolio to predict the likelihood of delinquency and help collections teams prioritise accounts. LoanPro said the tool feeds into AI Account Briefing.

It also introduced LoanPro Connect, which links activity in its platform to more than 1,200 third-party APIs, including Google Sheets, Outlook and Slack. Full support for secured cards has been added through associated ledgers that track deposits or other asset balances on an account and can tie available credit to that balance.

Rhett Roberts, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of LoanPro, said the launch is intended to bring more servicing functions under one provider. "Lenders have asked us for years to handle more of this for them, with one contract and one team to call," Roberts said.

"Payment processing, real-time card disbursement and AI guardrails are now built into LoanPro's core, and all of it is live today. A lender can now get funds to a borrower on a Friday night or have an AI agent help service an account, and all of it stays inside LoanPro," he said.

Colin Terry, Chief Product Officer at LoanPro, said the company's AI approach is focused on preserving lender controls.

"You will only ever drive as fast as you trust your brakes to stop you," Terry said. "Lenders have spent years building controls around their human agents, and the LoanPro MCP runs through those same role-based access controls and compliance guardrails. We bring the context, the action and the trust. You bring the thinking, and you have an AI strategy in a box."
