TCS partners with MassRobotics to boost North American innovation

Yesterday

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced a collaboration with MassRobotics to foster innovation in the robotics sector across North America.

As part of this initiative, TCS will establish an on-site presence at MassRobotics' facility in Boston. This presence will allow TCS to work directly with robotics startups, academic institutions, and industry leaders. Through this collaboration, TCS aims to provide technical support, mentorship, and industry knowledge, while also gaining insights into emerging robotics trends and technologies.

The collaboration is positioned to leverage TCS' expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automation to advance the development of both technical and commercial applications of robotics in consumer-focused industries. The initiative is anticipated to contribute significantly toward addressing the increasing demand for automation across various sectors.

Tom Ryden, Executive Director of MassRobotics, stated, "We are excited to partner with TCS to bring innovative robotics solutions to market faster and more efficiently. TCS' global reach and deep technological expertise will complement our mission to support robotics innovation and create new avenues for growth in industries that are adopting robotics solutions."

Krishnan Ramanujam, President of the Consumer Business Group at TCS, added, "As robotics continues to gain traction across industries—from retail to transportation—the potential to transform businesses and society is immense. Working alongside MassRobotics, TCS aims to accelerate the development of cutting-edge solutions that will not only streamline operations but also deliver new levels of innovation and efficiency. Together, we are helping to shape a world where robotics and intelligent automation empower industries and enrich lives."

The cooperation between TCS and MassRobotics focuses on several key areas, including joint research and development aimed at tackling new challenges in automation and AI, the development of industry-specific robotics applications, and support for early-stage robotics startups by granting access to TCS' global network, resources, and technical platforms.

Further emphasis will be placed on bridging the gap between innovative research and real-world applications. This is intended to ensure that the latest robotics technologies become commercially viable at a faster pace.

Worth noting is TCS' ongoing commitment to the growth of robotics as it continues to enhance its capabilities in robotics technology. This includes the development of autonomous and collaborative robots designed to work efficiently and safely alongside humans. The collaboration with MassRobotics is another step in this strategic direction, reinforcing TCS' position as a key partner for companies seeking to integrate robotics into complex business operations.
