Tradeview widens eflow surveillance to US equities

Tradeview Markets has expanded its use of eflow's trade surveillance technology to cover US-listed equities and options, extending surveillance already in place for its European business.
The deployment centres on Tradeview's Cayman Islands entity, Tradeview Ltd, and broadens oversight of trading activity across several jurisdictions. The group aims to avoid adding separate surveillance systems for each market as regulatory expectations for technology-led monitoring increase.
Tradeview has used eflow's regulatory technology since 2021 to support the surveillance requirements of its European entity. Adding US-listed equities and options to the same platform brings monitoring for multiple regions and asset classes into one system, rather than splitting activity across different tools.
The expansion comes as trading firms face closer scrutiny over how they detect potential market abuse and supervise activity across fragmented markets. For firms operating in more than one jurisdiction, that often means balancing local regulatory requirements with the practical need to keep compliance processes consistent.
Tradeview's regulatory footprint spans the Cayman Islands, Malta, Labuan, the United Arab Emirates, Mauritius and Peru. The wider deployment is intended to support monitoring across multiple regions, platforms and asset classes, while giving its compliance team a more unified workflow.
eflow's surveillance system monitors a range of market manipulation scenarios, including those linked to US equity and options markets, as well as broader international regulatory requirements. Under the expanded arrangement, alerts from US-listed equities and options will pass through the same platform used elsewhere in the group.
The approach is intended to reduce reliance on fragmented, asset-specific systems. It also reflects a broader industry preference for consolidated surveillance frameworks, especially among firms that need to oversee activity across several desks, instruments and legal entities.
For compliance teams, the question is often not only whether surveillance is in place, but whether alerts can be reviewed consistently across markets. A single platform can also simplify internal workflows by keeping case handling, escalation and oversight in the same environment.
"As Tradeview's business scales, it's essential that our compliance team can rely on a more consistent and efficient surveillance workflow. eflow's technology was the natural choice to achieve these goals and extend our trade surveillance coverage. The platform has already demonstrated its ability to support our group's regulatory requirements in Europe, and supports a stronger, more consistent approach to surveillance across our multi-jurisdictional footprint," said Mike Lombardo, Head of Global Equities at Tradeview Ltd.
The latest expansion builds on an existing relationship rather than a new supplier selection. That matters because many financial firms prefer to extend systems already embedded in compliance operations instead of undertaking a fresh rollout in another jurisdiction.
eflow was founded in 2004 and provides regulatory technology to financial firms in areas including market abuse surveillance, best execution, transaction cost analysis, transaction reporting and electronic communications surveillance. It says it serves more than 140 clients across five continents, covering both buy-side and sell-side firms.
The Tradeview agreement also highlights the continued role of specialist surveillance providers as brokers and trading firms adjust to increasingly data-heavy oversight demands. As firms add products and enter new markets, compliance teams are under pressure to monitor more activity without multiplying the number of systems they use.
"Tradeview's decision to extend its use of eflow demonstrates the value of having a surveillance platform that can adapt as firms expand across markets. By building on the group's existing relationship, Tradeview can bring additional asset classes onto the eflow platform and give its compliance team a clearer view of trading activity. We're pleased to support Tradeview's growth and its approach to maintaining consistent surveillance across its global operations," Ben Parker, Chief Executive Officer at eflow, said.
