Flam raises USD $14 million to expand mixed reality for brands

Today

Flam has raised USD $14 million in Series A funding to expand its AI infrastructure for the global marketing and advertising industry.

The latest investment round was led by RTP Global, with Dovetail and other existing investors also participating. This new funding brings Flam's total capital raised to USD $22 million.

Flam's platform is currently used by over 100 global brands including Google, Samsung, and Emirates, with mixed reality campaigns having reached more than 580 million users to date.

The company's technology enables marketers to transform any consumer touchpoint—ranging from digital and broadcast TV to retail packaging and WhatsApp messages—into interactive digital and 3D experiences without the need for consumers to download an application.

According to Flam, its most recent technology push involves app-less GenAI infrastructure, allowing brands to swiftly create, launch, and measure high-fidelity mixed reality experiences in under 300 milliseconds on any smartphone device.

The infrastructure already supports campaigns for major enterprises and agency partners internationally.

Shourya Agarwal, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Flam, stated, "Our mission is to turn every touch-point — Digital, Broadcast TV, Mass Media, Retail, Stadium Fan engagements —into an interactive digital experience."

"We are laser focused to ship the GenAI tools that brands and enterprises have been yearning for. Flam has galvanised marketers around the world now we're taking it to the next level with a full stack enterprise suite of products across channels; to make them engaging, measurable, interactive."

Flam's platform enables brands to use QR codes or links to invite consumers instantly into mixed reality experiences that can showcase products, communicate stories, or provide deeper engagement with a brand, all accessible app-free.

These campaigns have featured on TV ads, billboards, and even packaging, aimed at creating experiences that align with modern media consumption habits.

The company now plans to expand its partner programme for creative studios and global platforms, targeting a broader roll-out for Fortune 500 brands beyond pilot implementations.

Upcoming product development includes generative AI-driven 3D asset generation, scaled deployment of mixed reality, an enterprise product suite for multiple industries, and infrastructure for broadcasters and fan engagement.

With the additional funding secured, Flam aims to further develop its mixed reality offerings, targeting applications in advertising, retail, live broadcasts, and sporting events. The company's objective is to convert digital and physical interfaces into shoppable and shareable experiences designed to deliver measurable return on investment.

Amit Gaiki, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Flam, said, "This capital unlocks the next chapter of Flam's deep‐tech roadmap. Our edge‐compute architecture already streams hyperreal mixed‐reality in under 300 ms; the next milestone is a fully generative pipeline that lets brands create, personalise, and publish Digital & 3D experiences on the fly—secure and at scale."

RTP Global Partner Nishit Garg commented, "The time for MR is now — and Flam is uniquely positioned to lead this wave. What excites us is not just the technology, but the clarity of vision and speed of execution. Shourya, Malhar and team are building a category-defining company—and we're excited to be part of their journey in this next phase of growth."

Amal Parikh, Managing Director at Dovetail, added, "With Limitless applications, strong execution and clear vision we believe Flam is set to redefine how brands connect with consumers".

Flam currently has a workforce of more than 120 employees focusing on engineering, artificial intelligence, creative technology, and go-to-market strategies.

The company anticipates increasing its headcount to over 180 by the end of 2025, supported by ongoing expansion in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Discussing the company's direction, Shourya Agarwal also commented, "The World is meant to be experienced. Immersive media shouldn't just be a video. That said, the creation of immersive media should be as easy and ubiquitous as a video. Flam is here to power enterprises precisely for this."
