Google Public Sector has introduced a set of partner programmes and funding measures for the US government and education market. The package includes a USD $45 million pool for Gemini deployment and adoption work.

The changes focus on four areas: incentives for partners involved in pre-sales work, a partner-led user success programme, training and enablement, and support for software vendors and alliance partners.

Under the new incentives, Google Public Sector will offer rewards and discounts to partners that carry out pre-sales technical work, solution design and proof-of-concept projects.

A separate Partner-Led User Success Program is intended to support Gemini adoption among frontline users through three investment areas: training, pre-sales work and post-sales deployment.

As part of the training effort, the group is launching a Forward Deployed Engineer academy, described as a bootcamp for engineers within partner organisations. On the pre-sales side, it is increasing Deal Acceleration Funds for partner-led customer workshops and proof-of-concept activity.

Post-sales support is the largest disclosed funding element. Google Public Sector is expanding its investment pool to USD $45 million for deployment and adoption, with the money earmarked for partner professional services to roll out Gemini across the US public sector.

Builder support

Google Public Sector also outlined measures aimed at independent software vendors building sector-specific tools, including the launch of an ISV Agent Factory to speed development of specialised public sector agents.

The initiative sits alongside the existing ISV ATO Accelerator programme. Under that scheme, individual software vendors can receive up to USD $1 million to help cover the cost of compliance accreditations, including GovRAMP, FedRAMP and Department of Defence Impact Level requirements.

Alliance push

Alongside the funding and training plans, Google Public Sector announced a strategic alliance with SHI. The arrangement is intended to activate more than 400 sellers across state, local and education markets.

At the federal level, Accenture Federal Services is also introducing Gemini Launchpads linked to Google Public Sector. The launchpads are intended to help agencies move from early experimentation with agents to operational use in mission settings.

The announcements reflect a growing emphasis among large technology suppliers on building partner channels to sell, deploy and support generative artificial intelligence products in regulated public sector environments. In this market, channel partners and software vendors often play a central role in implementation, accreditation and user adoption.

Google Public Sector presented the measures as part of a broader effort to deepen collaboration with partners and expand delivery across government agencies and education institutions. The programmes are designed to strengthen both technical preparation before sales and operational support after deployments go live.

The package also underscores the commercial importance of Gemini in the public sector, where suppliers are seeking to turn pilot projects into larger deployments. By assigning dedicated funds to workshops, proofs of concept and post-sales services, Google Public Sector is putting more of its own budget behind partner-led implementation work.

For software vendors, the inclusion of funding tied to accreditation costs addresses one of the main barriers to entering government technology markets. Compliance processes such as FedRAMP and related standards can be costly and time-consuming, particularly for smaller providers seeking access to federal and defence customers.

The alliance with SHI points to a parallel go-to-market strategy in state and education segments, where reseller reach remains important. The separate work with Accenture Federal Services indicates a focus on larger federal agency programmes that may require tailored deployment models and advisory support.

Google Public Sector said the expanded measures are intended to help public sector customers deploy Gemini with operational readiness from the start, with partner professional services playing a central role.
