SUSE & Infosys join forces for innovative AI solution

Yesterday

SUSE has announced its partnership with Infosys to develop an end-to-end AI infrastructure solution aimed at aiding enterprises in the creation, deployment, and management of AI applications.

The initiative addresses rising challenges faced by businesses transitioning from AI trials to real-world application, as costs and data privacy concerns increase alongside rapid technological advancements. According to Abhinav Puri, General Manager of Portfolio Solutions & Services at SUSE, the complexity of the AI landscape means no single technology provider can offer all-encompassing solutions. "In today's complex and dynamic AI landscape, businesses are facing new problems every single day – and the reality is that no one technology provider can solve them all," Puri stated. "We are excited to tap into the power of our global partner ecosystem to help customers overcome these pressing challenges. We are doing this through simplifying the joint solutions to help customers easily gain the benefits of AI."

The collaboration between SUSE and Infosys brings together SUSE's open infrastructure platform, SUSE AI, with Infosys' generative AI solutions under their Topaz AI offerings. Designed to accelerate business value, Infosys Topaz comprises a broad set of services and platforms intended to facilitate AI application. This integration is aimed at providing enterprises with the tools necessary for efficient AI scaling, maintaining control over data, and fostering rapid innovation without security compromises.

Furthermore, this joint endeavour incorporates Infosys' Responsible AI Toolkit into the SUSE AI platform. The Infosys AI Guardrails, which integrate ethical AI practices, together with the security features and observability of the SUSE AI platform, ensure data privacy and regulatory compliance. This toolkit is open source, allowing customisation and flexibility, and supports both cloud-based and on-site environments. Balakrishna D. R., Executive Vice President, Global Services Head, AI and Industry Verticals at Infosys, emphasised the importance of ethical AI adoption. "As AI becomes a pivotal driver of enterprise growth, its ethical adoption is imperative. The Infosys Responsible AI Toolkit ensures that businesses remain resilient and trustworthy amidst the AI revolution. By making the Responsible AI toolkit open source, we are fostering a collaborative ecosystem to tackle the complex challenges of AI bias, opacity, and security. This initiative underscores our commitment to making AI safe, reliable, and ethical for everyone. Teaming up with SUSE on this new solution will help our joint global enterprise customers explore the vast possibilities of AI. We can't wait to see what they build when empowered with this solid foundation of scalability, security, and customisability," he said.

This latest venture is part of a long-term partnership between SUSE and Infosys, which has previously seen Infosys working with global enterprise clients on various technological solutions, including GenAI Private Cloud infrastructure, multi-Linux management, container services, and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server applications for SAP.
