Wolters Kluwer unveils VitalLaw dashboard for ESG compliance

Thu, 3rd Jul 2025

Wolters Kluwer has launched a new Global ESG Legal Compliance dashboard on its VitalLaw platform.

The new dashboard offers legal professionals access to resources covering environmental, social, and governance (ESG) legal compliance issues. This includes regulatory updates, expert analysis, news, and practical research tools.

Enhanced access to ESG compliance

The dashboard is aimed at enabling legal professionals to stay current with the rapidly evolving ESG regulatory landscape. It provides information relevant to multiple jurisdictions, with specific coverage of the United States and Europe, and aims to support lawyers in advising clients on compliance matters.

David Bartolone, Vice President and General Manager for the International Group within Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory U.S., commented on the significance of the new tool. He said,

"We are excited to introduce the Global ESG Legal Compliance dashboard on VitalLaw. This solution underscores our commitment to providing our clients with the tools they need to navigate the complex and ever-evolving landscape of ESG compliance."

The dashboard aggregates ESG news, regulatory changes, treatises written by subject matter experts, and practical research aids. Users benefit from a streamlined search experience that is designed to deliver quick access to relevant information.

Key features of the dashboard

The dashboard includes an intuitive interface and search functionality, intended to make finding ESG information efficient. The company stated that this approach helps legal practitioners provide timely and accurate advice to their clients. Users can also receive a daily email summary on ESG topics of their choosing, covering developments most relevant to their area of practice.

The platform delivers comprehensive coverage of ESG regulations and reports from different countries, with initial emphasis on U.S. and European markets. This cross-border perspective reflects the increasing need for global businesses and their advisors to understand and comply with varying jurisdictional requirements.

Legal professionals using the dashboard will have access to expert analysis on core ESG topics and recent developments, as well as practical guidance sourced from Wolters Kluwer's team of specialists in the legal and regulatory sectors.

Wider context

Wolters Kluwer serves professionals in a number of fields, including healthcare, tax, accounting, finance, legal and regulatory affairs, corporate performance, and ESG. The group employs around 21,600 people in over 40 countries and reported annual revenues for 2024 of EUR €5.9 billion. Its operations span more than 180 countries, with headquarters in the Netherlands.

The introduction of this dashboard on VitalLaw is in line with an ongoing trend towards increased ESG oversight around the globe, as regulators and investors place higher expectations on companies to meet robust governance and sustainability standards.

The dashboard complements Wolters Kluwer's existing suite of legal research and compliance tools. With the volume of ESG-related legislation and guidance continuing to grow, tools that aggregate, curate, and explain these requirements are becoming increasingly important for legal professionals advising clients on compliance risk and opportunity in different regulatory regimes.
