Pureprofile has appointed Christina Statescu as Vice President of Sales US, as it reports 35% year-on-year growth in the United States.

Based in California, Statescu joins the data and insights company as it expands its US sales team. She will report to Andy Averill, Head of D&I US, and focus on growing the client base in the country.

Her appointment adds another senior commercial executive to Pureprofile's US operation as the market becomes a larger part of its business. The group said its FY26 performance in the region is tracking at more than 2.5 times FY24 levels.

Pureprofile now has more than 100 clients in the US. The country is the world's largest market for research and insights, accounting for more than half of global market research spending.

Statescu brings almost 20 years of experience across market research, consumer insights, data and technology. Her previous roles include senior positions at Conclave Research and ThinkNow, where she worked on commercial strategy, sales leadership and regional expansion.

She has also held leadership roles at Numerator, ForeSee, Merkle and Say Media, giving Pureprofile added experience across both research and digital data businesses as competition for clients intensifies in the US.

US expansion

Pureprofile has been building its presence in the US for several years. Management has identified it as a key market, reflecting both the size of the research sector and demand from brands, agencies and marketers for audience data and consumer insight.

Industry figures cited by the company show the US market research sector is expected to reach USD $37.7 billion in 2026, making it a focal point for research groups seeking growth beyond their home markets.

Tim Potter, Managing Director - UK/EU & US, Pureprofile, said the hire reflects that opportunity.

"We're delighted to welcome Christina Statescu to join our growing US team. The US is a strategically important market for Pureprofile and we're already seeing strong momentum, with increasing demand for high-quality data and insights solutions.

"Known for her client-centric approach and deep understanding of the insights ecosystem, Christina brings extensive experience helping organisations leverage data and consumer intelligence to make better business decisions. She is an excellent fit for Pureprofile's next phase of growth.

"Her deep understanding of the market, combined with her track record of building strong client relationships, will help us continue expanding our presence and delivering value to organisations across the US," said Potter.

His comments underline the company's effort to turn recent growth in the region into a broader, more established client base.

Career background

Statescu has worked across several parts of the research and media sector, with experience in both established research providers and data-led businesses. In senior roles, she has been involved in sales management, client relationships and market development.

Her appointment suggests Pureprofile is placing greater emphasis on local commercial leadership in the US rather than managing the market solely from overseas hubs. California remains a major base for technology, media and consumer-facing companies, making it an important location for client development in research and data services.

Statescu said the move felt like a natural next step after working with members of the Pureprofile team in different settings throughout her career.

"I'm thrilled to be joining the Pureprofile US team. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to work with many members of the team as clients, partners and friends, making this feel like a natural next chapter.

"What has always stood out to me is the quality of the people. I've built my career around developing meaningful relationships, understanding different perspectives and helping clients solve complex challenges. Pureprofile's culture, talent and commitment to delivering valuable insights make it an exciting place to continue that work.

"I'm looking forward to partnering with clients, collaborating with an exceptional team and helping drive growth in the US market for a company I've long admired," said Statescu.

Pureprofile was founded in Australia and operates across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. It has delivered services for more than 850 clients worldwide.
